RIP: This is Damaris, A Brave Young Mother And Total Orphan Who Lost Her Life After Being Hit By A Trailer In Kisii

She had left her village to try life in town after her marriage didn’t work out, choosing to raise her two children as a single mom.

Every day, she sold porridge and fruits to put food on the table, pay rent and care for her two little ones. That fateful morning, she left home with her 8-month-old baby on her back, ready for another day of hustle, but she never returned.

Her youngest child is now in critical condition, while the other is in PP1. No parents, no grandparents to turn to… just unbearable loss and a stark reminder of life’s fragility.

Rest in peace, Damaris. May the little children find protection.
