Narok Senator Ledama Ole Kina has questioned why fuel is being purchased outside the Government-to-Government (G2G) framework at about $253–255 per metric tonne, while G2G imports cost $84 per metric tonne.
This comes after EPRA’s latest review, which saw fuel prices increase, with Super Petrol rising by Sh28.69 per litre and Diesel by Sh40.30, while Kerosene remained unchanged. Under the new review, petrol will retail at Sh206.97 per litre and diesel at Sh206.84 per litre.
Ledama dubbed it a ‘cabal enterprise’ and called for the prosecution and conviction of those involved.
He demands probe and prosecution of those behind fuel import scandal.
