“As you may know, we had planned to hold the funeral this Friday, but due to certain decisions taken in Kinshasa, the funeral will now take place there.

Our father passed away on 28 September, and we, as his sons, tried everything to repatriate his body to Europe, but we felt like we were being extorted by certain people…

If our father were still with us today, he would never have accepted this. It breaks our hearts that we cannot lay him to rest. But some people didn’t want that.

We now understand why our father preferred to keep us away from many people…
