A Nairobi man has been sentenced to two months in jail or fined Ksh 30,000 after what he called โ€œa night of enjoyment gone wrong.โ€ย

According to reports, Omondi walked into a restaurant, ordered food, alcohol, and water for himself and several lady friends but when the party ended, the bill had climbed to Ksh 22,760.

When presented with the total, Omondi simply vanished into thin air.

In court, he explained, โ€œI became so high and was surrounded by many ladies, each asking for drinks. I didnโ€™t even know who was drinking what.โ€

He pleaded for leniency, adding that he later discovered several suspicious mobile loan transactions on his phone and couldnโ€™t believe how deep into debt one night of โ€œvibesโ€ had thrown him.๐Ÿ‘€
