It was a regular Tuesday evening, and I was scrubbing the bathroom when I noticed the toilet kept running. Annoyed, I checked the tank. To my shock, I found a cheap burner phone wrapped in a plastic bag. My heart started pounding. Why would my husband hide a phone there? I dried it off and powered it up.
It was locked, but the password was our wedding date. Inside, I found a bunch of texts between my husband and a woman named “Lola.” Their flirty chats and explicit messages made my stomach turn. The worst part? They were planning to meet at a fancy new spot downtown this Friday night.
I was fuming. But instead of blowing up right there, I decided to teach him a lesson he wouldn’t forget. I took a deep breath, stayed cool, and just slipped the phone right back. I had a couple of days to craft a plan that would really hit home.
