The U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) confirmed it had launched a second wave of airstrikes targeting southern Iran overnight.
Explosions were reported in the key port city of Bandar Abbas, as well as Qeshm Island and Sirik along Iran’s southern coast. Reports indicate that parts of the local infrastructure, including power transmission facilities, were damaged during the strikes.
The reported damage led to widespread power outages across several areas in southern Iran, while the full extent of the strikes and their impact remains unclear.
