ODM Party Leader Dr. Oburu Odinga has addressed concerns raised by Embakasi East MP Babu Owino over his chances of clinching the party’s ticket for the Nairobi seat.

“I have not seen anything wrong with Babu Owino,” Oburu said. “I heard some issues are troubling his heart; he thinks he may not be given the party’s ticket to contest for the Nairobi seat.

Q I do not know why he thinks so. I do not see why he should not be handed the ticket if he wins party nominations. If he wins the party nominations, he gets the ticket. He should not run away.”

The remarks come amid growing speculation about internal party dynamics ahead of ODM’s nomination process.
