As a resident and voter of Machakos County, the first Governor of Machakos, and a proud Kenyan patriot, I stood with my fellow citizens to hear the charges of impeachment brought against Deputy President H.E. Rigathi Gachagua.
Together at Machakos Social Hall, we listened as the case was laid out point by point, and I even had the opportunity to ask questions for clarity. For me, the conclusion is undeniable: πππ§π²π πππ¬ππ«π―ππ¬ ππππππ« π₯πππππ«π¬π‘π’π©.
We cannot allow regressive politics, tribalism, and corruption to enslave us or haunt the future of our children and grandchildren. We cannot:
β’ Return to a system that enriches a few while the majority suffer;
β’ Accept a society where your name or tribe defines your fate;
β’ Tolerate a culture of arrogance, impunity, and theft;
β’ Stand by in a country where jobs go only to those with connections.
We must push forward toward a just society with systems that benefit all, where hard work is rewarded. Kenyans desire peace, stability, and opportunityβsomething impossible with a ππ«π’πππ₯π’π¬π in a position of power.
The Deputy Presidentβs shareholding model has deprived our region of its rightful development, leaving us behind. It is time to remove this roadblock so that H.E. President William Samoei Rutocan bring development to every corner of Kenya, including Machakos.
For these reasons and more, I have signed in support of the impeachment process”, CS Alfred Mutua.
