Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian said Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei remains in good health, as the Iranian leadership announced a major reshuffle of senior military commanders.
Mojtaba Khamenei reportedly signed decrees appointing six senior commanders to key positions across Iranβs armed forces, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) and the Basij.
The reported appointments include Ali Abdollahi as Chief of Staff of Iranβs Armed Forces, Kioumars Heydari as Deputy Chief of Staff, Ahmad Vahidi as IRGC Commander-in-Chief, Mostafa Izadi as Deputy IRGC Commander, Ali Azmaei as IRGC Navy Commander and Hossein Taeb as Commander of the Basij Resistance Force.
The reshuffle comes amid heightened regional tensions, with Tehran seeking to strengthen military command structures and maintain its defense readiness.
