𝗥𝗘𝗣𝗢𝗥𝗧𝗦: Due to CAF’s decision to strip Senegal of the 2025 AFCON trophy for walking off the pitch against Morocco in the final, Guinea has called for a review of Morocco’s 1976 AFCON title, citing the decisive round-robin clash, according to People’s Gazette.

Morocco briefly walked off after Chérif Souleymane gave Guinea a 33rd-minute lead in protest of a refereeing decision, but later returned. Ahmed Makrouh equalised in the 86th minute as the match ended 1–1.

Morocco needed only a draw, while Guinea required a win to claim the title.
