He died Last Year In June, And He Has Still Not Been Buried

This is Edgar Lungu, the former president of Zambia. He died last year in June, and he has still not been buried. That means he has been dead for about nine months without a burial. Some are even questioning if he is really dead.

His body is currently being kept in a mortuary in South Africa because there is an ongoing dispute between his family and the Zambian government over his burial.

The family wants a private burial, while the government wants him buried at a national burial site reserved for former presidents. The family has also made it clear that it does not want the current Zambian president to attend the funeral.

Here is the irony thoughπŸ‘‡

When former President, Kenneth Kaunda died in June 2021, Edgar Lungu himself, who was president at the time, denied the family’s request to have him buried at his farm, next to his wife. Lungu insisted that Kaunda be buried at the presidential burial site. The matter went to the High Court, and Kaunda’s family lost the case. ( you can easily verify this online)

So:

President Kaunda dies in “June” 2021.
President Lungu forces a Heroes’ Acre burial

President Lungu then dies in “June” 2025.
He now faces the same treatment he gave the Kaunda family.
