UPDATE: IEBC has fined Kasipul by-election candidates Philip Aroko and Boyd Were Sh1 million each after violent clashes erupted during campaign activities.

The electoral body says the incidents were triggered by violations of the harmonised campaign schedule, which all candidates had been required to observe.

The two have been directed to pay the fine to the IEBC within 48 hours or else disqualified.
