The one on the left is called Muriuki Njagagua, who was appointed the board of directors of the consolidated Bank by Ruto in 2023 after he failed to recapture the Mbeere North Parliamentary Seat in 2022. A few days ago, Ruto revoked that appointment, and appointed him as a special adviser to the President. Muriuki Njagagua had intended to vie for the Mbeere North by-election slated for 27th of November 2025 but stepped down for the UDA candidate.

The one on the right is called Murage Njagagua, who Ruto appointed as Acting CEO of the consolidated bank, the same bank his brother worked for until his appointment as Ruto’s advisor. All these appointments and re-appointments have everything to do with the Mbeere North by-election. I think the Njagaguas have influence in Mbeere North going by what is happening.

Like I said, Ruto is leaving nothing to chance in Mbeere North, he wants that seat so badly to know how safe or unsafe his vote in the mountain is and more so, Mt Kenya East. He MUST either win the seat or be convinced that all is not lost.
