A few moments after President Ruto alias Africa One’s thunderous blasting of the UN for an unfair financial system, outdated colonial systems for development that doesn’t benefit Africa—U.S. for handing over second-hand armoured and security cars to the Kenyan-led MSS mission in Haiti, Trump’s powerful man Marco Rubio met with him on the sidelines and UN Secretary General Antonio Gutierrez.

He has also met with France President Emmanuel Macron on the sidelines—among many other meetings he has attended and held, he also witnessed, alongside California Governor Gavin Newsom, the signing of the California–Africa Climate and Economic Partnership between Kenya and the State of California, U.S.

This partnership focuses on sustainable transport and electric mobility, green ports, climate-smart agriculture and resilient food systems, renewable energy and green infrastructure, digital innovation, and climate adaptation.

As part of the agreement, a Centre of Excellence on Clean Transport Systems in Africa will be established in Kenya to drive innovation and knowledge exchange.

This makes Kenya the first African country to sign an MoU with California; the world’s fourth-largest economy.
