“Brilly tragically passed away due to complications from a toothache. According to reports, Brilly had been afflicted by a mysterious condition, (alipigwa muyaka)allegedly caused by witchcraft, which led to excruciating gum pain. The pain was so severe that she couldn’t eat, drink, or even speak. She also developed ulcers on her tongue.

“Brilly was admitted to Navakholo Hospital, where she was later referred to Bungoma Life Care for further treatment. However, in a shocking turn of events, Brilly passed away en route to the hospital.

“I’m still reeling from the news, and it’s hard to believe that such cruelty and alleged witchcraft can exist in Bunyala community. Brilly was more than just a follower to me; she was a close friend. Her passing has left me stunned and saddened.
She will be laid to rest today. Rest in peace Brilly Brilliant Owano.
