I DATED A MILITARY MAN. When I see people dating military men, I just laugh and shake my head and conclude that they haven’t read my story of how I dated a military man he left and went on a mission to Bamenda and never came back again. Wy last year in Dschang was just something else.

I was working in small snack-restaurant-bar where we had rooms. We had rooms for urgent Gbola and Toto action and rooms for people who came to pass the night.

I sat a day and there was this military man who walked in he was 25years. He said he wanted a room for the night and my boss gave him the keys to one of the rooms. The next day, he woke up and there was no food, since the restaurant was no longer operational. So, he gave me money to by things an cook let’s eat.

As a very good girl, I took the money and I cooked rice and tomatoes sauce in the restaurant kitchen. We all ate, he bought drinks we drank and the day was done. The next day when I came, he asked for my number and started appreciating me. Every time I finished work, he always went and accompanied me at my place and went back. That’s just how our relationship started.

At a certain point, he came to my house and spent 2 days and went back. One day, he came and one of my neighbours knew him. My neighbour told me that the military guy was the son of the Divisional officer of Baham. I never knew that at all. We kept dating and everything was fine.

He went on a mission for the first time, spent 10days and came back. The day he came back, my toto cried. The next day he brought his thing so that I could wash them since he was busy. I washed them and dried them outside. My neighbours were just looking at me like that ? because of jéalousy.

He told me one day that they were going on a mission, and that when he is back, he will go and take his 3 years salary from the bank. He told me that he didn’t collect his salary for three years and that we shall enjoy when he finally comes back.

To cut the long story short, we are in 2024 and I am still waiting for him to come back. I always see him active on Facebook, but he has never answered my messages.
