This is why Prof. Kithure Kindiki deserve to be CS interior

• Prof. Kithure Kindiki is a tried and tested leader, whose dedication and commitment to duty is unquestionable.

• Kindiki is a hardworking and diligent person, a strategic problem solver who is focused on results.

• Kindiki’s nomination to return to the helm of the Interior and National Administration Ministry is proof of the successful reforms he spearheaded since his appointment in September 2022.

• Prof. Kindiki is the only CS who visited each of the 47 Counties, addressing County-specific security challenges, and engaging with members of the public.

• Kindiki’s relationship with security agencies across the Country is exemplary. His visits to frontline officers boosted their morale, and offered him an opportunity to hear and see firsthand, the challenges they face securing our Country and enabled him formulate policies to improve their working environment and capacity.

• Kindiki has been instrumental in the security equipment modernisation programme, to secure officers from harm and injury, boost their capacity to face armed criminals and liberate areas that for years have been dominated by organised criminal gangs, terrorists and bandits.

• During his first stint as CS, Interior and National Administration, Kindiki played a pivotal role in the establishment of the first referral hospital at Mbagathi for Police officers and their families.

• Similarly, CS Kindiki’s legacy includes the establishment of the first referral hospital for Kenya Prisons Service officers in Ruiru. This facility will be of great value to Prisons officers and their families.

• A firm believer in bringing Government services closer to the people, CS Kindiki has operationalized administrative units across the Country, and ensured deployment of officers to render Government services. This has substantially lowered the cost of accessing services and time taken to acquire critical documents, such as birth certificates and National identity cards.
