Labour CS Alfred Mutua has delivered a scathing message to Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka, urging him to step aside from politics after failing to bring meaningful development to the Ukambani region.
Mutua pointed out that Kalonzo has served the public in various capacities for over 40 years, yet the people of Ukambani are still grappling with underdevelopment, lack of infrastructure and limited economic opportunities.
According to Mutua, Kalonzo has run a politics of poverty, keeping the region dependent rather than empowered, and has prioritized personal political ambitions over the welfare of his people. He emphasized that Ukambani deserves leaders who can deliver tangible results and improve the lives of its citizens.
Mutua further revealed that he is spearheading a movement aimed at challenging Kalonzo’s longstanding dominance in the region. He asserts that the era of being ruled by political elites who fail to serve the people is over and that real change, growth and development must take center stage.
This, he says, is not just politics but a revolution to ensure Ukambani finally experiences the progress it has long awaited.
