According to the New York Times, 22-year-old Tyler Robinson from Utah has been taken into custody for his alleged role in the assassination of conservative activist Charlie Kirk.
On September 10, 2025, Kirk, 31, was fatally shot during a speaking event at Utah Valley University in Orem, part of his “American Comeback” tour.
Authorities identified Robinson as the suspect after a multi-day manhunt. According to reports, Robinson confessed to his father, who restrained him until police arrived to make the arrest. President Trump hailed the capture, calling it a step toward justice amid rising political violence. The FBI offers a $100,000 reward for further leads.
