Friday night in Marimanti was calm and silent. The moon hung bright in the sky, but inside a small lodge room, the air was thick with love and desire.
The man, a respected businessman, held the woman close. She was another man’s wife, but tonight she belonged only to him. Their hearts beat fast, their bodies pressed together as if they had waited too long for this moment.
He kissed her slowly, tasting her lips like sweet wine. She closed her eyes, melting in his arms, her fingers tracing the lines of his face.
“I miss you every second we are apart,” she whispered.
“And I would risk everything just to have you,” he answered, his voice low, full of longing.
Her laughter was soft, trembling with both fear and excitement. She let him undress her gently, her breath quickening as his hands explored her skin. He lifted her chin and kissed her deeply, as if the world outside no longer existed.
The room was filled with heat, their whispers turning into soft moans, the bed creaking under their passion. She buried her face in his chest, whispering, “Don’t ever let me go.”
But just as their love reached its peak, the room suddenly changed. A sound broke through the silence, long and sharp.Hissssss…
At first, they ignored it, lost in their fire. But then it came again, louder. The woman froze, her nails digging into his back.
The man turned his head, and his heart nearly stopped. Out of the darkness, a giant snake slid into the light. Its body was thick, its scales shining, its tongue flicking in and out as it moved closer.
The woman screamed, clutching the bedsheet to her chest. The man jumped up naked, his face pale. The snake circled the bed slowly, as if it had come to witness their secret.
They shouted for help, but the serpent did not move away. Instead, it hissed louder, trapping them in fear.
Neighbours rushed in after hearing the cries. The caretaker forced the door open and what he saw left him speechless.
The lovers, naked, their passion exposed, stood trembling in the corner while the snake twisted on the floor, refusing to leave.
Gasps filled the hallway. Some people laughed, others covered their mouths in shock, and whispers spread like fire: “So this is what they were hiding…”
Soon, the crowd outside grew massive, and the whispers turned darker: “This is not a normal snake.”
When the police finally arrived to control the situation, confusion spread further, because no one knew how, or when, the snake disappeared.
That Friday night, their sweet romance turned into a bitter memory. What was meant to be a night of love became the story of shame, the night a snake exposed two hearts burning in secret.
