President Ruto has announced that Raila Odinga’s secretariat will be led by Foreign Affairs PS Korir Sing’oei and Raila’s brother-in-law, former Kenyan ambassador to the US, Elkanah Odembo.
They aim to develop a winning strategy to help Raila succeed Chadian Moussa Faki.

—To be elected, Raila must secure at least two-thirds of the votes from AU members
—Voting is done through a secret ballot process
—Raila enjoys the support of 19 countries hence he now needs the support of another 15 countries
—The elections are scheduled for February 2025.
