Update: US Senator Bob Menendez has been found guilty of all 16 counts in his bribery case
According to Prosecutors, the 70 year old, who serves as the chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee “put his power up for sale” in exchange for the gold, envelopes stuffed with money, checks to his wife for a no-show job and a Mercedes-Benz convertible.
The Jury was told that the gold bars and more than $400,000 in cash stashed in places including jackets and shoes throughout his home, were found by the FBI.
We await his sentencing.
