Update: 8 Land Fraudsters Arrested By DCI

UPDATE: 8 people arrested in a multi-agency operation led by the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) that brought down a land fraud syndicate .

The arrested individuals include:

  1. Livingstone Ambai Munala (44)
  2. Dan Adero Okoth (Assistant Security Officer, Ministry of Lands – Survey of Kenya)
  3. Nicholas Mukuna Ayela
  4. Paul Muigai Kimani
  5. Kennedy Mulatya
  6. Patrice Josaya Tumbo (Land Broker)
  7. Emmanuel Matheka Mutuku (Casual Laborer, Ardhi House)
  8. Leonard Clifford Wafula (Printer II, Government Press)

The operation, which began on March 28, led to the discovery of multiple forged land documents, including title deeds, allotment letters, unused green cards, and hundreds of stamps.

This arrest comes amid growing concerns about land fraud in the capital, with real estate scams threatening rightful landowners.
