The Standard newspaper headline today has described the former prime minister Hon Raila Odinga as a watermelon due to his statements which he has made recently. According to the newspaper, today’s Raila is not who who will be tomorrow.

The former prime minister Hon Raila Odinga’s words cannot be taken to bank as you would withdraw nothing at the ATM machine. This has come after he changed his idea of having a national dialogue with the president William Ruto so that they can discuss about issues affecting youths mostly Gen Zs and how to improve our country. The former prime minister Hon Raila Odinga who accepted the offer from Ruto has again changed his mind by saying that justice must be served before any dialogue.

This statement had made many Kenyans to wonder why Raila is now becoming like a watermelon.
