1. I cannot be accused of orchestrating the downfall of someone I single-handedly – against the advise of everyone else – nominated to be my running mate.
2. When it came to the vote of who shall be my running mate, Prof Kithure Kindiki received 27 votes against Rigathi Gachagua’s only 05. When the Mt Kenya MPs caucus brought me the results, they begrudgingly accepted my request to allow “this man who is slightly older than me” to be my running mate.
3. Barely three months into office, Rigathi started coming to me with petty accusations against everyone he did not like. He was picking fights with Ndindi Nyoro, Dennis Itumbi, Farouk Kibet, even asking Mt Kenya MPs to kneel down before him or else he’d use the strength of his office to victimize them. His arrogance and high-handedness against his juniors was the beginning of his downfall.
4. I called for a Mt Kenya MPs caucus to try to convince them not to support the impeachment motion against Rigathi, but they, on several occasions, warned me not to interfere with their plan because of the traumatic experiences they had gone through in his hands.
5. I was also not spared his threats. At one time Rigathi came to threaten me that he would make me a one-term President, if I didn’t give him Ksh10 billion. I stared straight at him and informed him I would not do it under any circumstance whatsoever, and if it meant me being a one-term president, so be it.

This guy has decided to burn down the entire school with all its certificates.
