Revealed: Why Kenyan Gospel Artist David Wonder Is Releasing Music

Kenyan gospel artist David Wonder, once a rising star under Bahati’s EMB Records, has opened up about a personal battle that has deeply affected his music journey. The singer revealed that he has been diagnosed with Deep Vein Thrombosis (DVT), a condition that causes blood clots in deep veins, usually in the legs.

According to Wonder, the illness has not only slowed down his ability to perform and record music but has also taken a heavy emotional toll on him. “It has not been easy,” he shared, noting how the journey has tested his faith and strength in ways he never imagined.

At one point a favorite in Kenya’s gospel music scene, David Wonder had stepped back from the limelight, and now fans finally know why. He’s been quietly battling pain, hospital visits, and the uncertainty that comes with such a condition.

Still, he remains hopeful and anchored in faith. Many of his supporters have flooded social media with prayers and encouragement, urging him not to give up. David says he’s taking each day as it comes and still believes in a musical comeback once his health stabilizes.
