Embakasi East MP Babu Owino has stirred talk with his newfound opposition to ODM leader Raila Odinga’s plans including potentially joining President Ruto’s government that is currently in crisis mode.

By going against his party leader Raila, Babu Owino is embracing a path taken by many other leaders including Raphael Tuju and Evans Kidero that saw then land in the political cold.

ODM blogger Robert Alai was qick to caution the MP that his popularity is due to Raila’s influence and without it, the MP’s political career would suffer.

What’s next for Babu, can he politically survive without Raila and ODM?
