Former Under 17 Women’s Football team Coach, KALUBA KANGWA says lack of planning and poor coordination have been major contributors to the team’s elimination at the ongoing World Cup in the Dominican Republic.
With a group game to spare the Copper Princesses were eliminated from the competition after losing 2-nil to Poland as they lay bottom of Group D without a point and goal to their World Cup Campaign status.
Speaking to ZNBC Sport News, KANGWA said the team and technical bench was let down due to poor planning around their preparations.
He said failure to organise the girls’ quality friendly games also played to their disadvantage as they needed to have a full view of how other teams played in order to know their opponents well.
