Detectives discover body believed to be missing taxi driver, Victoria Mumbua Muloki.

Directorate of Criminal Investigation (DCI) detectives have stumbled upon a human body believed to be that of a missing taxi driver, Victoria Mumbua Muloki.

The female body was discovered at the Nairobi City Mortuary after an intense interrogation session with the suspect, Edwin Ng’etich, who was found with the deceased’s stolen motor vehicle.

Investigations reveal that the body was found in a thicket within Mai Mahiu next to a road in Lari, Kiambu County.

Police were notified and it was brought to the City Mortuary, where it was booked on September 29, 2024, as an unknown body.

Criminal Intelligence and Research Bureau detectives, who were profiling the suspect, were instrumental in the discovery.

Ng’etich was arrested in Nakuru while driving Muloki’s motor vehicle. He opened up to detectives after intense questioning, and further reports indicate that he led police to the location where he dumped the body.

Muloki’s family in Mombasa has been notified. The family say they will be travelling to Nairobi to conduct further identification processes, including DNA profiling, as police plan for a postmortem examination to determine the cause of death.

Meanwhile, records have revealed that Ng’etich has committed similar offences in the past.
