Nation claims, Deputy President Gachagua’s room at Acacia Hotel Kisumu was bugged and his conversation with a Rift Valley MP who had paid him a visit at the hotel secretly recorded.

It was after listening to the conversation that Ruto decided to cut off Gachagua completely, the paper claims citing different sources.

The paper goes on to reveal that when some members of the clergy visited State House to bring a truce between the President and his deputy as the impeachment loomed, Gachagua’s recorded conversation was played to them.
