
BUILDING CAPACITY: SENIOR INVESTIGATIONS OFFICERS’ SEMINAR
Today marked the successful conclusion of the Senior Investigations Officers’ Seminar offered at the National Criminal Investigations Academy (NCIA), where top police commanders from across the country gathered to sharpen their skills in criminal investigations.
Addressing the officers on behalf of the Director DCI, the Head of Forensic Services Ms Rosemary Kuraru emphasized the criticality of proper leadership and mentorship of junior officers in the Service, pointing out that it was the duty of senior officers to guide and inspire younger police generations to serve with utmost integrity and professionalism while upholding ethical conduct.
“Leadership transcends mere titles; it encompasses the responsibility to mentor and inspire our junior officers,” the Senior Assistant Inspector General stated.
Meanwhile, the Commandant NCIA Mr Sospeter Munyi, SAIG, commended the vibrant participants for demonstrating a zeal for more knowledge and commitment to keep up with crime dynamics, noting that such motivation and enthusiasm was key to addressing the contemporary security challenges.
Also present at the event was Deputy Commandant NCIA Mr Stephen Chacha, CP and other senior officers and trainers at the premier Academy.
