I’m 21 years old girl who has been working as a maid with this family for 2years plus now. I was brought from the village after I lost my dad and I dropped out from school. They have been good to me I won’t lie. My madam is a business woman who owns a fashion shop and her husband is a car dealer. They have two kids which I look after and do some house chores.

Yesterday Saturday morning, I woke up as usual, did my morning duties, and prepared breakfast for my bosses. My madam always leaves the house earlier than her husband on Saturdays. It was around 8:30am when she left the house and her husband was preparing to shower while she left. So I said to myself let me quickly go to my room and take my bath before the children got up from sleep that morning. By this time my Madam’s husband was in the shower in their section.

Few minutes after I had just poured water and soap on my body I heard a knock on the door it was my madam knocking (she’d forgotten her keys). I delayed a little as I tried to wash out the soup on me then tied my towel. As I tied my towel and rushed to the door, her husband too who had heard the knock and had just finished bathing, came out from his room with his towel to open the door before I could reach the main door.

As my madam got in seeing both of us with towels the first question she asked was; What’s going on here? She pulled me and before I could say jack, she landed slaps on my face. The husband too who was confused about what she was saying tried to stop her from hitting me, but my madam changed the story saying he’s taking my side over her.

She started asking me how long has this been going on? So she feeds me, clothes me, give me shelter and I still have the gods to sleep with her husband in her own house. I tried explaining myself but she won’t give me the chance. The husband got so angry and left the house that morning. My madam after beating me that morning, told me to pack my things and leave her house before she returns.

I was devastated, I went into my room packed my things but the point now was what was I going to do with the kids, I couldn’t leave them alone at home. Secondly I didn’t have any transport fare to go back to my mum in the village. I stayed hoping that when she comes she will at least give me transport fare to go. In the evening madam came back and was shouting why am I still here, and asked me to go out.

The husband drove in while I was standing outside with my bag he asked me to take my bag inside.

At first I was scared to go back in but he pulled me in. As we got in, they quarreled and it resulted in a fight. My Madam is threatening to leave the house. I have been sitting in my room crying all night. I don’t know what to do. This is not what I wanted. I have never had anything with her husband and the husband has never made any move towards me before. I am ready to leave the house all I want is just transport fare. I was to work for 3yrs then they will pay for me to learn a trade or send me back to school.

How do I clear my name? How can I make my madam know her husband is innocent too. Please post for me
