Political analyst Prof. Mutahi Ngunyi, an ally of President William Ruto, expressed his surprise and frustration on July 1 regarding the results of an opinion poll he conducted on Twitter today. The poll indicated that 61% of respondents want President Ruto to resign. Ngunyi, known for his outspoken views, shared his thoughts on X (formerly Twitter), where he has a substantial following.

“I expected 90% of the 70K voters on this poll to vote ‘No chance.’ Who are these 17% who want us to give Ruto a chance, and why are they not standing up on the side of reason?” Ngunyi wrote. “In total, 31% are not against him from the math. And this is why the country will not burn,” Ngunyi said.
