When I started my journey in commercial broiler production in 2014 with 10,200 chicks

When I started my journey in commercial broiler production in 2014 with 10,200 chicks, I faced a staggering 18% mortality rate far above the expert benchmark of 5%.

I was distracted by numerous suggestions and advice, eager to replicate the success of others. With high hopes, I immersed myself in books, online research, and courses, believing that making money with broilers would be straightforward.

However, the reality hit hard on the first day when I lost 100 chicks, many due to drowning. The shame of failure loomed large, as I realized that the gurus teaching success were profiting from teaching rather than farming. This revelation prompted me to reevaluate my approach.

I stopped chasing every new suggestion and focused on developing key performance parameters for my farm. I organized in-house training sessions and created our own standard operating procedures, implementing a robust monitoring and evaluation system. This structured approach extended to all departments, leading to a comprehensive land use and management plan.

Seven years later, I now manage 280,000 birds with less than 3% mortality, achieving unprecedented feed conversion efficiency and over 90% uniformity. With established systems in place, any team member can operate effectively.

Today, we help other farmers achieve similar results by developing tailored land use and management plans based on their specific needs. No more painful trial and errors!

If you want to optimize your farming practices, let’s collaborate and grow together before the year end.
