Here Is The Sad Story Of Kenyan’s Youngster And Steeplechaser Cellphine Chespol

Sad story of Kenya’s youngster and most promising Steeplechaser Cellphine Chespol whose career stumbled after 2 Managements Fought Over her.

In 2018, there was a tag of war between two management’s, who wanted to have Chespol compete under them.

According to Chespol, she decided to leave Golazo after the expiry of her two year contract on December 31, 2017 but some people from AK frustrated her, going to the extent of not clearing her to compete in Diamond League races.

She added that some people from Golazo had lied to the Anti-doping Agency of Kenya (ADAK) about her whereabouts, which put her at risk of being banned for 2 years.

According to the article published by Ayumba Ayodi on Nation headlined “AK told to clear teen runner for Rome meet” Chespol alleged that pressure from her coach Gregory Kilonzo made her sign a contract worth Ksh 1,000,000 with Barnaba Korir of Golazo, but she received only half of that money.

Her words 👇🏾

“After trying to force me into another contract again, I refused since their management wasn’t paying me in full. But I was only given $5,000 (Ksh 500,000)” Chespol was quoted by Nation.

Will we ever see Chespol on the track again?
