Sema kimeumana!
The court has today fined George Oduor, the driver of Kibra MP Peter Orero, Sh100,000 or 12 months in jail after he pleaded guilty to dangerous driving.
This comes just a few days after the driver and his boss insulted journalist Larry Madowo, who had confronted them for driving on the wrong lane and causing an obstruction.
Unaware it was Larry Madowo, their outburst went viral in a video Larry recorded, attracting national attention as Kenyans blasted them for hurling insults like “takataka.” Following the uproar, traffic police pursued the case, particularly targeting the driver.
Apparently, in such instances, the driver bears the burden… not the boss.
They say choices have consequences. This guy will never talk carelessly to people again while driving. He might even avoid rolling down his window, no matter how hot it gets, for fear of another sneaky camera.
He still cannot believe what hit him and his boss. Kiburi haisaidii bwana.
