Hezbollah has received $200 million from Iran to help Lebanese families displaced by this yearβs war with Israel, according to two people with direct knowledge of the transfer.
The funds were reportedly received last month and are intended to provide financial assistance to people affected by the conflict.
Hezbollah plans to provide an initial payment of $3,000 to families whose villages were destroyed or remain inaccessible, with around 50,000 families identified as priorities.
A Hezbollah official confirmed that an amount had been secured and said the group would announce a distribution plan, but did not disclose the source of the funds.
The reported transfer would represent the first significant post-war financial assistance from Hezbollah to supporters displaced by the conflict.
