When people can’t use you, they hate you. When they can no longer cook up stories to get things from you, they call you difficult, mean, proud.

When you refuse to become their victim, they make you the villain.

Sometimes being persecuted by some people is the surest proof that you’re evolving.

Growth is often an isolating journey especially when you outgrow those who had built their lives around your lack of self-awareness.

They will resent your leveling up because of their personal loss.

When you finally wake up and introduce healthy boundaries in your life, expect retaliation from those who were used to you not having any.

Upgrading your life does not always attract claps but rather clapback.

You will feel the pinch of separation but you must take it as a receipt for your transformation and believe that you’ll find other relationships on your new level.

Feel the grief, but don’t stop growing.
