Reports indicate that the Thai-flagged cargo vessel MV Mayuree Naree was struck by a missile while transiting the Strait of Hormuz toward the Arabian Sea. The projectile reportedly hit the engine room at the stern, causing severe damage and leaving the ship unable to maneuver.

All 23 crew members were forced to abandon the vessel. The source of the weapon used in the attack remains unclear. Thai authorities say they are aware of the incident and have coordinated with the Royal Thai Navy as assistance efforts continue while the situation develops.
