According to new details President Maduro and his wife were deep asleep at their home inside a military base when the raid began.

The couple fearing for their safety had shifted from their normal home to a new home inside a fortified military compound.

What they didn’t know was that the CIA was constantly monitoring their movements.

In the middle of the night Delta Force, the US military’s elite special mission unit, stormed the heavily-secured military compound and dragged the president and his wife out of their bedroom.

The pair were piled into a US military helicopter after , then onto a jet to New York.
