Allegations Made by Betty Bayo’s Mother
During a virtual interview with Shiru Wa Oakland, Betty Bayo’s mother, who is based in the USA, made several serious claims regarding her daughter’s death and her relationship with Tash:

1. Cause of Death
   She alleges that Betty did not die from leukemia, as earlier medical reports indicated. Instead, she claims that Betty d!ed from head injuries sustained after being assaulted by her husband, Tash.
2. Why Betty and Tash Separated
   According to Mama Betty: Tash allegedly siphoned money from Betty and used it to buy two lorries in the USA, each costing around Ksh 8 million. The final conflict reportedly occurred when Tash allegedly beat Betty while drunk and demanded Ksh 5 million, leaving her financially drained. A distressed Betty is said to have called her mother, saying: “Mum, who did you leave me with? I’m not safe. Huyu ataniua.”
3. Suspicious Return to Kenya
   Mama Betty claims that Tash had already returned to the USA after their separation. She says she does not understand how he managed to return to Kenya so quickly to check in Betty’s body at Kenyatta Hospital shortly after her death.
4. Children and Documents
   Before the burial, the family agreed that Betty’s sisters would take care of her children. After the burial, Tash allegedly refused, telling the family to go to court. He is also said to be holding Betty’s death certificate, Mama Betty’s ID card, and other crucial documents.
5. Behavior After the Burial
   Mama Betty alleges that on the night of the burial, Tash brought other women into the home and even entered Betty’s matrimonial bed.
6. Message to Prophet Kanyari
   She praised Prophet Kanyari for being consistently present for his children and urged him to go to Betty’s house to check on the kids, insisting that they are not safe.
7. Call for Postmortem
   Mama Betty wants a postmortem to be conducted so that her daughter can receive justice.
8. Disappointment With Shiru Wa GP
   She expressed sadness that Shiru Wa GP, Betty’s close friend, has not answered her calls since the tragedy.
