-CHADEMA party: The entire party was disqualified by the electoral commission for failing to sign a mandatory code of conduct by the April 2025 deadline.

-International observation: For the first time in recent elections, Tanzania restricted the presence of international and regional observer missions, raising further concerns about transparency.

-Rights groups and political analysts: They sustained crackdown on dissent, with incidents of arrests & harassment.
