Boda boda riders will now be required to wear county-specific uniforms and display unique identification numbers on their motorcycles under new government reforms aimed at curbing crime and boosting accountability.

The measures were announced after a meeting in Nairobi between senior police chiefs and the National Boda Boda Association, convened by Regional Police Commander George Seda.

Seda says the uniforms and IDs would make it easier to identify riders and enhance order in the sector.
