Confusion As Coffins From Violent Nairobi Protests Spotted Undergoing Repairs
Several coffins that were pictured being carried by a group of demonstrators (including a prominent local activist) during Tuesday’s violent anti-government protests in Nairobi have reportedly been spotted undergoing repairs somewhere along Juja Road.
Witnesses observed police officers loading the coffins into a police vehicle during the chaotic aftermath of the protests.
A source who requested anonymity is now questioning whether the police sold the coffins or if the owner retrieved them.
Procuring and delivering the coffins to the CBD is estimated to have cost hundreds of thousands.
