Update: Details Of Fertilizer Scandal That Disappeared On Transit Emerges
New scandal as a fresh report from the Auditor General shows that 564 tonnes of fertiliser donated by Russia to Kenya last year disappeared in transit.
This is after Kenya received 33,835 tonnes of fertiliser out of the 34,400 tonnes that Russia offered, 564 tonnes of the missing raw fertiliser would have produced 1,643 tonnes of ready-to-use fertiliser, valued at Sh197 million based on a market price of Sh6000 per 50kg bag.
