Today’s Newspaper Headline: Greedy MPs Gets Hefty Salary Rise

The People’s Daily newspaper headlines talks about the greedy members of Parliament who were fighting for the finance bill 2024. According to the Newspaper, some members of Parliament have reaped big from the finance bill as their salary have been increased as many Kenyans continue to suffer due to high cost loving and also taxation.

The newspaper has revealed that members of Parliament like the speaker of the national assembly Hon Moses Wetangula and his counterpart Amason Kingi are among the top leaders who have seen salary rise. Others includes the Ugunja member of Parliament Hon Opiyo Wandayi, Hon Gladys Sholei, Hon Kimani Ichungwa and the deputy speaker of the Senate. This has come when Gen Z are still on the streets protesting about the high taxation from the president William Ruto’s government.
