Taxes on diapers & sanitary pads effected days after Ruto “rejected” Finance Bill 2024

An exclusive report from Citizen Digital has revealed that the East Africa Commission (EAC) has finally gazetted the taxation of commodities entering Kenya such as Diapers, Sanitary Pads, Television and radio sets among many other commodities that were supposed to increase incase Ruto signed the Finance Bill 2024.

According to the report by the local media Station on July 2, sources close to power reveal that the decision by EAC might have been enforced courtesy of parent Ministry which is under Peninah Malonzo who communicates Kenya’s interests to the EAC.
