1. When they tell you they don’t love you, believe them, and don’t chase them.
2. When they tell you they might be in love with someone else, believe them and don’t take it personally or stay and hope that they’ll love you someday. If they stay with you, it may be out or pity, not love!
3. When they show you how they don’t care about you when they are angry, then understand that they’re incapable of being kind so don’t expect them to be kind to you always or every time you need them to be.
4. When they tell you they are confused about you, believe them and don’t make excuses for them.
5. When they tell you they are incapable of loving you, don’t sit and teach them how to love you.
6. When they tell you they can’t be in a relationship with you, respect that, and don’t beg. You are devaluing yourself, and also teaching them to do so.
7. When they show you who exactly they are, stop visualizing their potential. Potentials ain’t reality!
8. When they consistently show you how inconsistent they can be with commitment, believe them.
9. When they tell you they want to love you, but their actions fail to prove that, or make you feel safe, believe them and let them be.

The truth is that people will always tell you exactly how they feel about you. The signs will always be there; but sometimes, we ignore them, and get our hearts broken, and say love doesn’t exist! Love does exist. You’re only looking for it in the wrong people.
