Duale: “KDF To Be On Kenyan Streets Until Anti-Ruto Protests End”

Following High Court Judge Lawrence Mugambi’s order for the Ministry of Defence to gazzete the terms of deployment of military to the streets, CS Duale has since issued a gazzete notice spelling out the duration and scope of the deployment.

Duale says the military will assist the National Police Service to preserve life, internal security of the State, protect property and maintain law and order.

He adds that the military men will be guided by the Bill of Rights as enshrined in the 2010 Constitution and that they will also act in accordance to the KDF Act. Duale further clarified that the military men will be on Kenyan streets until normalcy is restored.
