“The Swedish Ambassador to Kenya, H.E Carlo Viccini, along with the Head of Cooperations and Program Manager for Agriculture Livelihoods, paid a courtesy call to my office at Kilimo House.

Sweden has been supporting the agriculture sector for over 50 years, with successful projects like tetrapak, Cargric AI services, and soil conservation structures.

In Kenya, Swedish support for the ASDSP programme has been ongoing for over 12 years, and the upcoming KABDP project will continue with a business-driven approach, aiming to boost income generation, especially for disadvantaged groups.

There will also be a focus on sustainability, environmental resilience, and biodiversity, along with research and new technologies from organizations like ICIPE, ILRI , ICRAF, and KALRO.

I emphasized on the need to align all projects with the Government BETA agenda and linking these programmes to KIAMIS digital platform. We discussed other priorities of partnerships, including controlling transboundary diseases through effective disease control and vaccination”, CS Mithika Linturi said.
